Current Status of Implementation
This accessibility statement was last updated on July 1, 2024. It applies to the website projektbuerokultur.nuernberg.de.
At the time of drafting this statement, the website is not fully accessible and therefore does not completely meet the requirements of WCAG 2.1.
Digital accessibility at compliance level AA has largely been achieved. Currently, the following exceptions apply:
Color contrast
The colors used in the City of Nuremberg’s corporate design do not meet the requirements for sufficient contrast in all color combinations.
Tables without headings
Not all displayed tables currently have meaningful headings.
Image gallery
The integrated image galleries could not be fully checked for accessible labeling of images and their alternative texts.
Text within images
Not all images have been checked to ensure that text information is not conveyed solely through the image content and that a text alternative is provided.
General text links
Some text links use the phrase “Read more” without a clear target description. These are particularly difficult to distinguish when several identical link labels are used on the same page. In such cases, the CMS currently does not offer a technical alternative.
Editorial content
The content of individual websites is managed by a large number of decentralized online editors. Despite guidance on presenting information in the most accessible way possible, the requirements cannot always be met in every case or in full.
Provided material
PDF documents, flyers, forms, images, and other materials offered for viewing and download are in some cases not accessible or have not yet been redesigned to meet accessibility standards due to capacity reasons.
Digital accessibility is also increasingly being implemented in the editorial processing of the website. Step by step, this also improves the overall accessibility of the online services.
An audio output of individual content or the entire page can be individually activated.
